Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man over the death of a man in Pakenham last week.
With assistance from the Special Operations Group, a 39-year-old Wyndham Vale man was arrested at 10:20am.
He has since been interviewed by investigators and charged with murder.
The man will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court tonight.
The charges follow an incident where a 36-year-old man was located deceased with a fatal gunshot wound in a home on Jamieson Court about 1pm on Friday, 31 July.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
