Police Charge Man After Pursuit - Yagoona

A man will face court charged after an alleged pursuit in Yagoona overnight.

About 11.40pm (Tuesday 13 January 2026), officers attached to the State Crime Commands Raptor Squad attempted to stop a vehicle on Stacey Street, Yagoona.

When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle continued along the Hume Highway towards Brunker Road before it stopped near the intersection of Rookwood Road, Greenacre.

The driver – a 20-year-old man – was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

He was charged with police pursuit – not stop- drive dangerously and not stop at stop line at red light.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 28 January 2026.
