Police Charge Man After Reckless Wounding At Nambucca Heads

A man will face court charged following an alleged reckless wounding incident on the Mid North Coast earlier today.

About 8.30am (Thursday 2 October 2025), emergency services were called to Bowra Street, Nambucca Heads, following reports of a fight.

At the scene, officers were told that two men – who are known to each other – were involved in the incident.

A 19-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for lacerations to his hands.

He was taken to Macksville Hospital for assessment.

A crime scene was established, and a knife was seized during a search of the area.

A 26-year-old man – who had sustained a cut to his thumb – was arrested.

He was taken to Macksville Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding (DV), and wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 1 tomorrow (Friday 3 October 2025).
