Police charge man after Reservoir death

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a man in Reservoir yesterday.

Emergency services were called following an altercation at an address on Mahoneys Road about 4.30pm on 6 December.

A 44-year-old Thomastown man was treated by paramedics for lower body injuries but died at the scene.

A 44-year-old Reservoir man was arrested by police and conveyed to hospital for treatment to head injuries.

He was interviewed today and subsequently charged with one count of murder.

The man will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court tonight.

Detectives believe both parties are known to each other and are not seeking anyone further in relation to the incident.
