A man has been charged following an alleged robbery in the state's north last year.
About 1am on Saturday 14 December 2019, a woman was walking home from a hotel when she entered Calala Lane, Calala.
Police allege two men approached the woman from behind and stole her handbag from her shoulder and ran off towards Osprey Way.
Following inquiries, detectives attached to New England Police District arrested a 22-year-old man on Railway Street, Granville about 2.20pm yesterday (Thursday 30 January 2020).
He was taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with steal from person.
The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 5 February 2020.
