Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a man in Scoresby last night.
A 30-year-old Scoreby man has been charged with one count of murder and the matter will be heard at Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
The charge follows an incident at a property on Nardu Court about 11.30pm last night.
Police were called to the house and cordoned off the surrounding area after concerns were raised for the welfare of two people believed inside the home.
Attending police located the body of a 78-year-old Scoresby man.
The parties involved are believed to be known to each other and police are not looking for anyone further at this time.
