Police charge man after stabbing - Alexandria

A man has now been charged following a stabbing at Alexandria this afternoon.

About 2pm (Tuesday 5 November 2019), emergency services attended Bourke Street, near Doody Street, following reports that a man had been stabbed.

A man was treated for multiple stab wounds and taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Another man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Mascot Police Station where he has now been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and will appear in Central Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 6 November 2019).
