Police Charge Man After Stabbing At Coffs Harbour

A man will face court today charged following an investigation into an alleged stabbing at Coffs Harbour last month.

About 7.30pm on Saturday 6 September 2025, police attended a Coffs Harbour Hospital after a 19-year-old man had presented in a critical condition, suffering a stab wound to his throat. He has since been discharged from hospital.

Officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Police District commenced an investigation into the incident under Strike Force Lumberta.

Subsequent inquiries revealed that the man was allegedly stabbed outside a unit on Minorie Drive, Toormina.

Following extensive inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home on Harbour Drive, Coffs Harbour, about 7.45am yesterday (Wednesday 1 October 2025).

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder, and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 1 today (Thursday 2 October 2025).
