Police charge man after stabbing - Punchbowl

A man has been charged after two men sustained minor wounds during a confrontation at Punchbowl earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to The Boulevarde about 6.45pm on Monday 17 August 2020, after reports two men had been injured during a physical altercation.

The two men, aged 35 and 37, sustained minor wounds, one to the thigh and the other to his buttock, respectively.

The men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Bankstown Hospital where they are reported to be in a stable condition; their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

A crime scene was established and detectives from Campsie Police Area Command commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 46-year-old man – known to the men - at a home in Miller about 9am yesterday (Tuesday 18 August 2020.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station before being transferred to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.

The man has since been charged with two counts of reckless wounding and refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 19 August 2020).
