Police Charge Man After Stealing At Toongabbie

A man will face court charged following an alleged stealing in Sydney's north west yesterday.

About 11.15am on Monday (9 June 2025), police were called to Toongabbie Railway Station, following reports of a bag snatch.

Officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command attended and were told a man allegedly snatched a bag from a 73-year-old woman, before running from the scene.

The woman was uninjured, however taken to hospital for as a precaution.

Following inquiries, about 1.30am today (Tuesday 10 June 2025), police located and arrested a 21-year-old man at a service station on Wentworth Avenue, Pendle Hill.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with steal from the person less than $2000.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 10 June 2025).
