Police charge man after urinating on ANZAC War Memorial - Hyde Park

A man will face court after allegedly urinating on the ANZAC War Memorial in Hyde Park overnight.

About 12.50am (Sunday 15 November 2020) a male was observed by security allegedly urinating on the wall of the building. He then left the area.

Officers attached with Sydney City Police Area Command were notified and located the man at nearby apartment complex.

The 25-year-old was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station, where he was charged with commit offensive act on war memorial.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 9 December 2020.
