Police Charge Man After Woman Stabbed At Woy Woy

A man will face court tomorrow (Tuesday 17 June 2025) after a woman was stabbed on the Central Coast.

Shortly after 5:15am today (Monday 16 June 2025) emergency services were called to an address on Bowden Road, Woy Woy, after reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to Brisbane Waters Police District and paramedics from NSW Ambulance, located a 49-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.

The woman was treated for her injuries at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital. She was then flown to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.

A crime scene was established at the location and an investigation into the incident commenced.

Following inquiries, about 7:25am today (Monday 16 June 2025) a 21-year-old man was arrested at Parramatta bus station.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.

He was bail refused to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 17 June 2025).

Police will allege in court the two are known to each other.
