Police charge man following Wantirna toilet incident

Knox Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged a 28-year-old man following an incident at a Fast Food outlet in Wantirna on 15 September last year, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a customer entered the toilets inside the store and saw a device on the ground.

It is alleged the device had been set up to film people.

The Heathmont man has been charged on summons with installing and using an optical surveillance device to record a private activity to which he was not a party.

He will appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 1 June.
