A man will face court as part of an ongoing investigation into the murder of a teenage boy in 2017.
About 6.10am on Friday 14 April 2017, police were called to a home on Moresby Avenue, Glenfield, and found 15-year-old Brayden Dillon in bed with a gunshot wound to his head.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition, where he later died.
An investigation was launched by detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, assisted by the NSW Crime Commission and South West Metropolitan Region, under Strike Force Wongala.
Seven people have previously been charged by investigators.
Earlier today (Thursday 1 April 2021), as part of a Raptor Squad operation targeting organised crime figures in correctional facilities, a number of inmates' cells were searched with the assistance Corrective Services NSW.
As part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Brayden Dillon, a 42-year-old man was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice (FSCAN) at a correctional facility in Goulburn about 12.20pm today (Thursday 1 April 2021).
He was charged with do act with intent to pervert the course of justice and participate in criminal group.
The man will appear via AVL at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday 19 May 2021.
During the Raptor Squad operation, which was carried out with the assistance of Corrective Services NSW, officers located contraband items including a prohibited drug, found in a cell at a correctional facility at Parklea.
Police are speaking with a 26-year-old male inmate and charges are expected to be laid later today.
