A man will face court today following a strike force investigation into the armed robbery of a business in the state's Central West.
Strike Force Naimo was established by Central West Police District's Criminal Investigation Unit in June 2019 following two break-ins and an armed robbery at businesses in Orange between June and July 2019.
Following investigations, officers attached to Strike Force Naimo arrested a 50-year-old man at Orange Police Station about 3.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 25 September 2019).
About 4.15pm the same day police executed a search warrant on the man's home on Byng Street where clothing and a number of items believed to be stolen property were seized.
He was charged with robbery armed with dangerous weapon relating to an incident at a licensed premises on Summer Street on Saturday July 20 2019, and break and enter with intent to steal (x2) relating to incidents at a business premises on Piesley Street on Saturday 13 July 2019, and a licensed premises on Forest Road on Saturday 29 June 2019.
The man was also charged with set bushfire and be reckless to its spread, after allegedly lighting a fire near Springside on Tuesday (24 September 2019).
He was bail refused to appear before Orange Local Court today (Thursday 26 September 2019).
