Police charge man over eight property breaking offences in Sydney City

An Adelaide man will face court today charged with a number of recent property-related offences in the Haymarket area.

About 6.20am (Tuesday 17 March 2020), detectives from Sydney City Police Area Command stopped a 54-year-old man in Sussex Street.

Police conducted a search of the man and allegedly found a number of screw drivers.

Following inquiries, the man was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with break enter and steal (x4), break and enter with intent to steal, stealing, armed with intent to commit and indicatable offence and found with intent to commit an indicatable offence.

He was refused bail and will appear before Central Local Court today (Tuesday 17 March 2020).
