Police charge man over Hobart Police Station incident

A 20-year-old Chigwell man has been charged after causing damage to the Hobart Police Station overnight.

The man forced his way into the station where he was taken into custody about 12.40am.

He was taken to hospital for injuries he sustained during the incident.

He was later charged with Destroy Property, Breach of bail,Threaten/Intimidate Police Officer, Use abusive language to Police Officer, and Trespass.

He has been detained to appear in an after hours court tonight.
