Police charge man over quarantine non compliance

A 50 year old Launceston male has been arrested for failing to comply with bail conditions in relation to his COVID-19 quarantine requirements.

On Sunday 5 April, the man was arrested for failing to comply with a direction of the Deputy Director of Health and bailed with further conditions.

On Monday 6 April, he was arrested for breaching his Police bail in relation to his non-compliance with his quarantine requirements along with other offences.

He was detained and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court today.
