Police charge man over sexual touching in Sydney's west

Police have today charged a man after he allegedly sexually touched a woman on a bus in Sydney's west earlier this year.

Shortly after 10.30am on Thursday 4 June 2020, the 26-year-old woman boarded the bus at Mt Druitt Railway Station when a man sat behind her.

Police have been told the man allegedly sexually touched her during the journey between the station and Plumpton.

The woman confronted the man before leaving the bus a short time later.

Officers from the Police Transport Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following an appeal for information, about 12pm today (Tuesday 4 August 2020) a 27-year-old man attended Mt Druitt Police Station where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Mt Druitt Local court tomorrow (Wednesday 5 August 2020).
