Police charge man over sexual touching - Lakemba

A man will face court today charged following an alleged sexual touching at Lakemba last month.

About 11.30pm on Saturday 22 February 2020, a 24-year-old woman walked to an address on Haldon Street, when she was approached from behind by a man and allegedly sexually touched.

The woman screamed, and the man walked off.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following a public appeal for information, a 23-year-old man attended Campsie Police Station just before 6pm yesterday (Friday 6 March 2020), and spoke with investigators.

The man was charged with sexually touch another person without consent and refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 7 March 2020).
