Police charge man over stabbing at Richmond

A man has been charged following a stabbing at Richmond overnight.

Just after midnight (Sunday 14 March 2021), emergency services were called to a unit on Lennox Street where they found a man with multiple stab wounds and lacerations.

The 35-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command established a crime scene at the unit and commenced an investigation.

Police were told the man was involved in an argument with another man before he was stabbed.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 24-year-old man in nearby Windsor Street a short time later.

The local man was taken to Windsor Police Station where he was charged with wounding with intent.

He's been bail refused to appear at Penrith Local Court tomorrow (Monday 15 March 2021).

The injured man remains in hospital being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
