Police charge man over theft from deceased estate, South Australia

A man was arrested today and charged over the theft of approximately $30,000 from a deceased estate.

Following investigations by Western District CIB detectives, a 60-year-old man from the north eastern suburbs was arrested and charged with aggravated theft.

It will be alleged the man used a debit card belonging to a deceased person to make hundreds of purchases totalling approximately $30,000 over a nearly two-year period.

He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 8 March.
