Police charge man with 12 break and enters on schools in Sydney's south west

A man is due to appear in children's court tomorrow charged with multiple break and enter offences allegedly targeting public schools in Sydney's south west.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command have been investigating numerous break-ins between March 2018 and September last year, where iPads had been stolen from schools across south-west Sydney.

Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 19-year-old man at Fairfield Police Station about 4pm today (Wednesday 13 May 2020), and charged him with 12 offences;

• Break, enter and steal (seven counts)

• Aggravated break, enter and steal, and,

• Break and enter with intent to steal (four counts).

He has been refused bail to appear at a children's court tomorrow (Thursday 14 May 2020).

Inquiries are continuing.
