Police charge man with high-range PCA - Hurlstone Park

A man will face court next month charged with high-range drink driving in Sydney's southwest overnight.

About 9pm on Thursday 6 February 2020, police detected a vehicle driving east on Canterbury Road, Canterbury and almost hitting a tree as the driver attempted to park near the intersection of Griffiths and Hardy Streets, Hurlstone Park.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command spoke to the 40-year-old driver.

The man was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station where a second breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.208.

He was charged with high-range PCA and granted conditional bail to face Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 3 March 2020. His licence was suspended on the spot.
