Police charge man with intimidation - Cabramatta

A man will appear in court tomorrow charged with intimidation after attending a South West Sydney police station.

Just before 10.30am today (Saturday 16 September 2023), a man - wearing a hooded jumper- entered Cabramatta Police Station and approached the counter, before allegedly pointing and tapping a pair of garden secateurs at the Perspex screen, separating the public area of the station.

A police officer assisting a member of the public, directed the man to drop the item. He complied before being arrested.

The 23-year-old man was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with charged with custody of an offensive weapon in a public place, intimidation, and larceny.

Police will allege in court that the man stole the garden tool from a Cabramatta store earlier today.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 17 September 2023).
