Police Charge Man With Murder After Wildwood Shooting

Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man with murder as part of their investigation into a shooting in Wildwood earlier this month.

A 56-year-old Wildwood man was initially charged with intentionally cause serious injury.

He is currently remanded in custody to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 27 November.

The charge follows an incident on 19 August where a 37-year-old Meadow Heights man was fatally shot following an alleged dispute with the occupants at a property on Wildwood Road.

His remains were subsequently located on 26 August in Clarkefield.

Police will allege the parties involved were known to each other.
