Police charge man with murder at Albury

A man has been charged over the death of another man during an alleged domestic violence-related incident in Albury yesterday.

Officers from Murray River Police District were called to Crisp Street shortly after 8pm (Sunday 13 November 2022) where they found a 21-year-old man with a stab wound to his chest.

He was taken to Albury Base Hospital for treatment; however, died about 1.45am (Monday 14 November 2022).

A crime scene was established at the home, and a knife was seized for forensic examination.

An 18-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken to Albury Police Station.

The man, who is known to the 21-year-old, was charged with murder and refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 15 November 2022).
