A man will face court charged after the death of a man in the state's south yesterday.
About 8.20am on Friday 22 August 2025, officers attached to The Hume Police District attended a home on Cathcart Street, Goulburn, following a concern for welfare.
Upon arrival, police located a 55-year-old man with significant facial injuries deceased at the scene.
A crime scene was established, and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, just before 7pm, police arrested a 24-year-old man on View Street, Goulburn.
He was taken to Goulburn Police Station and charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 23 August 2025)
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
