Police charge man with murder over woman's death - Minto

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Emergency services were called to a home on Carruthers Street, Minto, about 4am (Sunday 21 April 2019), after a woman's body was located in the garage.

The woman has not been formally identified but is believed to be a 33-year-old.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.

A 49-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Campbelltown Police Station before being transferred to Fairfield Hospital where he received treatment for a hand injury.

On his release from hospital, the man was returned to Campbelltown Police Station and has since been charged with murder.

He's been bail refused to appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Monday 22 April 2019).

Local detectives were assisted in the investigation by the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
