Police charge men with riotous behavior in Moonee Ponds

Police arrested and charged two men after receiving numerous calls from the public about the men who were allegedly seen damaging vehicles and shopfronts in Moonee Ponds last night.

Attending police located the men in a store on Puckle Street just before 6pm on Saturday 20 December.

The men became aggressive towards police and OC spray was deployed to enable officers to arrest them.

The men, both from Craigieburn, aged 22 and 25 years, have been charged with drunk and disorderly in a public place, riotous behaviour in a public place and resist arrest.

Both men have been bailed to attend the Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on 30 March 2020.
