A teenage boy will face court charged after alleged aggravated break and enters in the state's central west.
Between 5.30am and 5.40am yesterday (Saturday 19 April 2026), five people allegedly broke into two cafés on Cecil Road, Orange and on Elsham Avenue, Orange.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended, established a crime scene and commenced investigations.
Police will allege the group forcefully entered the premises through a smashed window, stealing cash and other property, before leaving the scene.
Following investigations, about 8.30am the same day, officers attended a home in Orange and arrested a 15-year-old boy.
A subsequent search was conducted at the property with police allegedly locating and seizing cash, electronic devices and items believed to be linked to the incident.
The boy was taken to Orange Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than $60000, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company intend steal less than $60K and goods suspected stolen in/on premises (not motor vehicle).
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court tomorrow (Monday 20 April 2026).
