Police Charge Teen After Stabbing - Tolland

A teenager has been charged following a stabbing in the state's south.

About 8.30pm on Friday 3 April 2026, emergency services were called to a home in Kenny Place, Tolland following reports of a stabbing.

NSW Ambulance treated a 20-year-old man for stab wounds to his arm and chest. He was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, about 3am yesterday (Monday 6 April 2026), officers attached to Riverina Police District attended a home in Tolland.

A 17-year-old boy was allegedly found hiding in the roof cavity of the home and was arrested. He was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, enter land with intent to commit an indictable offence, armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, and two outstanding warrants.

He was refused bail to appear before a Children's Court today ( Tuesday 7 April 2026)

Police will allege the parties were known to each other.
