Police charge teen after Yarraville aggravated burglary

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged a teenage boy following an alleged aggravated burglary in Yarraville overnight.

It is alleged a male offender gained entry to a Mill Avenue home and stole a handbag just after midnight.

The boy fled the scene and a resident called police before the boy was arrested nearby.

No one was injured.

A 17-year-old Yarraville boy has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft and theft from motor vehicle.

He will face a children's court today.
