Police charge teen over 17 incidents

Narre Warren police have arrested an 18-year-old man following a series of incidents across Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.

The youth was taken into custody following an investigation into a number of alleged burglaries where cigarettes were stolen between 21 April and 27 July of in Pakenham and Narre Warren.

He has been charged with six counts of burglary, 12 counts of theft, three counts of obtain property by deception, handle stolen goods, theft of motor vehicle and traffic offences.

The Narre Warren teenager has been remanded in custody to appear in Dandenong Magistrates' Court on Monday.
