Police charge teens for attempted group retail theft in Brunswick

Fawkner Divisional Response Unit detectives have arrested and charged two teenagers following an attempted group retail theft on Sunday (22 September).

It is alleged the pair entered a retail outlet on Sydney Road about 3.30pm and attempted to steal a quantity of mobile phones before fleeing empty handed.

Two 14-year-old boys were arrested this morning (25 September).

A 14-year-old St Albans boy and a 14-year-old Melton West boy were each charged with attempted robbery, attempted theft, criminal damage and bail related offences.

Both boys were remanded in custody to appear at a children's court at a later date.
