Three men will face court today following a home invasion in the state's south.

About 3pm yesterday (Monday 9 March 2020) a group of men, including one man allegedly armed with a machete, forced entry into a house on Decimus Street, Deniliquin.

The occupants of the home – a man and his pregnant partner – were allegedly assaulted, before the group fled the location.

Their three-year-old child was also home at the time, but no-one suffered any significant injuries.

About 5.45pm, police attended a house in Davies Court, Deniliquin, and arrested three men aged 23, 25 and 27.

The men were taken to Deniliquin Police Station and all three were charged with aggravated break and enter and affray.

They were refused bail and will appear before Deniliquin Local Court today (Tuesday 10 March 2020).
