Police charge two after Greenvale fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged two people following their investigation into a fatal collision in Greenvale last year.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Aitken Boulevard and Lysterfield Drive just before 2.10am following reports of a collision between Volkswagen Golf and a Mitsubishi Lancer on 25 November 2018.

A 21-year-old Campbellfield man, who was a passenger in the Lancer, died at the scene.

A 26-year-old Roxburgh Park man, who was the driver of the Lancer, has been charged with one count of culpable driving causing death.

The driver of the Golf, a 19-year-old Roxburgh Park, has also been charged with one count of culpable driving causing death.

Both men are in custody and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court this morning.

Two other passengers in the Lancer and a passenger in the Golf sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
