Police charge two after stolen boats located in Echuca

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men after recovering four allegedly stolen boats and a caravan in Echuca this morning.

Two of the boats were allegedly stolen from Bundalong on 25 February and enquiries are still ongoing in relation to the ownership of the two other boats and caravan.

A 37-year-old Echuca man has been charged with two counts of theft of boat, two counts of theft of boat trailer, two counts of bringing stolen goods into Victoria, two counts of dealing with proceeds of crime and handling stolen goods.

A 44-year-old Echuca man has been charged with four counts of handling stolen goods and dealing with proceeds of crime.

Both men were bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates' Court on 3 March.

A 29-year-old Echuca woman was issued a caution notice for drug related offences.
