Police charge two men after aggravated break and enter at Oberon

Two men have been charged after an alleged aggravated break and enter in Oberon at the weekend.

About 4am on Sunday (3 October 2021), two men allegedly forced entry into a home on Queen Street at Oberon, before assaulting the occupant – a 19-year-old man.

The injured man attended Oberon Local Hospital with injuries to his face, and was later transferred to Bathurst Local Hospital for further treatment.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District were contacted and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined by specialist officers.

Following inquiries, two men – aged 20 and 32 – were arrested at Oberon Police Station about 2.30pm on Sunday (3 October 2021).

They were both charged with aggravated break and enter with intent – inflict actual bodily harm.

Both men were granted conditional bail to appear at Lithgow Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 7 October 2021).

The men are all known to each other.
