Police charge two men after brawl at Auburn

Two men have been charged following a brawl in Auburn on Monday night.

About 11pm (Monday 31 January 2022), emergency services were called to Park Road and Queen Street, Auburn, following reports of an alleged brawl.

On arrival, two men – aged 39 and 53 – were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for lacerations to their heads.

The younger man was taken to Westmead Hospital and the older man was taken to Auburn Hospital, both in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Four men were spoken to by police at the scene and released pending further inquiries.

Following investigations, a 39-year-old man attended Auburn police Station about 6pm last night (Tuesday 1 February 2022), where he was arrested charged with affray.

About 8pm, a 53-year-old man attended Auburn Police Station where he was arrested and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both men have been refused bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 2 February 2022).
