Police charge two people after stabbing - Hinchinbrook

Two teenagers have been charged over their alleged roles in the stabbing of a man in Sydney's south-west overnight.

About 9.45pm (Tuesday 24 March 2020), emergency services were called to the corner of Flinders Crescent and Wilson Road at Hinchinbrook, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command located a 28-year-old man suffering stab wounds to his abdomen and shoulder.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Following inquiries, officers arrested a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy nearby and both were taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The 19-year-old man was charged with reckless wounding and was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 25 March 2020).

The 17-year-old boy was charged with reckless wounding (accessory after the fact). He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at a Children's Court on Wednesday 15 April 2020.
