Police Charge Woman After Crash - Lurnea

A woman has been charged following a crash in Lurnea this morning.

About 12.40am (Friday 11 April 2025), police were called to Webster Road, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and found a Peugeot station wagon had crashed into two parked cars.

All vehicles were unattended.

Following inquiries, police located and arrested the driver – a 37-year-old woman – nearby.

During a subsequent search of the woman, police allegedly located and seized a substance believed to be gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB).

She was taken to Liverpool Police Station where she was charged with possess prohibited drug, drive vehicle under influence of drugs, never licensed person drive vehicle on road, and not give particulars to other driver.

An outstanding warrant was also executed for domestic violence related offences.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Friday 11 April 2025).
