Police charge woman after man stabbed - Bellevue Hill

A woman has been charged after a man was stabbed in Sydney's east overnight.

About 1.40am today (Saturday 21 November 2020), emergency services were called to a home at Drumalbyn Road, Bellevue Hill, and found a 22-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A 55-year-old woman, who is known to the man, was arrested at the home and taken to Waverley Police Station.

She has now been charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV). She's been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 22 November 2020).

A knife was seized at the scene and has been taken for forensic examination.

Police have been told the man has undergone surgery; his condition is unknown.
