Police charge woman after single vehicle crash at Hillville, near Taree

Police have charged a woman after a fatal single vehicle crash at Hillville, just south of Taree in July.

About 4.55pm (Saturday 21 July 2019) emergency services were called to The Bucketts Way, near Hillville Road, following reports a Holden Commodore had left the road and crashed into a large tree.

A male passenger, aged 22, sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.

The 21-year-old female driver, and a second passenger, a two-year-old boy, were trapped in the vehicle.

Just before 8am today (Tuesday 17 September 2019), a 21-year-old woman presented herself to Newcastle Police Station where she was arrested.

She was charged with negligent driving occasioning death.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Forster Local Court on Tuesday 15 October 2019.
