Police charge woman after two stabbed in Parramatta

A woman will appear in court tomorrow charged after two men were allegedly stabbed in Parramatta overnight.

About 9.40pm (Wednesday 4 October 2023), emergency services were called to a licensed premises on Valentine Street, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command attended and located two men, aged 52 and 58, both suffering stab wounds to their necks, upper torsos and arms.

Police will allege the two men were taking a group photo with friends when they were approached by a woman – not known to them - who produced a knife and stabbed the pair when asked to leave by security.

Both men were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Following inquiries, a 30-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

A crime scene was established, and detectives commenced an investigation into the incident.

The woman was later escorted to Merrylands Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

The Crows Nest woman was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Friday 6 October 2023).
