Logan police have charged a woman in relation to the armed robberies of two women at Meadowbrook in the early hours of this morning.
It will be alleged that around 1.45am, a woman attended a unit-complex on University Drive, armed with a sharp gardening tool.
It is alleged the woman approached two women – a 19-year-old and 20-year-old – threatening the 19-year-old with the tool.
The woman allegedly walked the pair out of the complex and across the road, where she forced the 19-year-old to call a taxi, before stealing the 20-year-old's mobile phone and leaving in the taxi.
It is further alleged that just before 5am, the woman attended a coffee-shop on Logan River Road at Bethania, where she threatened staff with a knife.
A patron grabbed the knife from her, and the woman fled.
No one was physically injured during either incident.
Police were notified and attended the location where they arrested a woman nearby.
A 25-year-old Edens Landing woman has now been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of possessing dangerous drugs.
She is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, 5 November.
