Police charge woman over armed robbery - Logan Central

Detectives have charged a woman over the alleged armed robbery of a service station at Logan Central this morning.

It is alleged around 8.30am a woman entered the Ewing Road business and yelled out while making threats to rob the store. She then allegedly selected a drink and then waited in line to be served. Once she reached the front of the line she allegedly produced a knife from her shirt and made demands for cigarettes and a lighter from the 19-year-old console operator.

The console operator handed over the items and the woman walked out of the premises.

Police located the woman a short time later walking along Benz Street at Logan Central.

A 45-year-old woman from Brisbane has been charged with armed robbery.

She is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
