Police charge woman over high-range drink-driving - Lewisham

An alleged high-range drink driver has been charged and her licence suspended following a three-car crash in Sydney's Inner West.

About 10pm yesterday (Sunday 20 November 2022), emergency services were called to Old Canterbury Road, Lewisham, following reports a Holden Astra sedan had crashed into a parked utility truck and a parked Volkswagen Polo hatchback.

On arrival, officers from Inner West Police Area Command found the driver of the Holden, a 46-year-old woman, uninjured.

She underwent a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.

The woman was arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station, where she underwent a breath analysis test that returned a result of 0.315.

The woman had her licence suspended and she was issued a court attendance notice for drive with high-range PCA.

She is due to appear at Newtown Local Court on Thursday 15 December 2022.
