Police charge woman with concealing evidence after death of man at Ingleburn

A woman has been charged as investigations continue into the death of a man following a brawl outside a home in Ingleburn last year.

Just before 9.40pm (Friday 24 May 2019), emergency services were called to Chester Road, Ingleburn, after reports of a brawl involving a large group of people.

The brawl is believed to have begun during a party at a home on Chester Road, before it spilled onto the street.

Upon the arrival of officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command the crowds began to disperse.

An 18-year-old man was located on the roadway with serious head injuries.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, who conveyed him to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.

Detectives from Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation resulting in two juveniles being charged with murder. They remain before the courts.

As inquiries continue, detectives yesterday (Wednesday 18 March 2020) arrested a 27-year-old woman at Campbelltown Police Station. She was interviewed and later charged with concealing a serious indicatable offence and accessory after the fact to murder.

She was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court today (Thursday 19 March 2020).
