Police concerned for elderly man missing from Sydney's west

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney's west.

Youel Eshay, aged 85, was last seen at his home on Prairievale Road, Bossley Park, about 5pm on Thursday (25 August 2022).

When he could not be located, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified today (Saturday 27 August 2022) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Concerns are held for Youel's welfare due to his age and as he is believed to be without medication.

Youel is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of slim build, about 160cm tall, with balding grey hair, and a grey moustache. He walks with a limp and has a deformed right index finger.

He was last seen wearing grey cargo pants, a light blue shirt, a grey-coloured cardigan and black running shoes.

He is likely to be driving a white 2000 model Nissan Pulsar with damage across the vehicle and NSW registration 'WXV197'. Youel is believed to be driving to petrol stations around Sydney's west and inner west.
